Simple Bluetooth Phone Pairing in 4 Steps

It should only take a few minutes to pair your phone with Nissan Bluetooth for the first time! Follow these easy steps to get started:

  1. On your Apple or Android device, locate Bluetooth under the settings. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
  2. For Nissan models with navigation, press the phone button on the audio system, click “connect,” then click “connect new device.” For Nissan models without navigation, press the enter/setting button on the audio system, click “Bluetooth,” then click “add phone.”
  3. Go back to your phone, and under “settings > Bluetooth”, select MY-CAR.
  4. At this point, a PIN should appear on your phone and your Nissan. Confirm that they’re the same number before accepting the pairing request on your phone.

The initial Bluetooth phone pairing process is now complete! Going forward, each time you enter your Nissan vehicle with Bluetooth enabled on your phone, the Bluetooth phone pairing should happen automatically.

Troubleshooting Issues with Nissan Bluetooth Connectivity

Was your attempt at Bluetooth pairing unsuccessful? Here are some common reasons why you might be having trouble:

  • Are there any other Bluetooth compatible devices in the vicinity of your Nissan? If so, and if they’re turned on, it could interfere with your phone pairing.
  • You should be sitting in the driver’s seat of your Nissan with your phone on you when attempting to pair the device, as a strong signal is necessary for success.
  • If your device has a low battery, this could also be a reason why it’s not pairing. Charge it, and then retry the pairing process.
